Orthodox Churches in Qiqihar

Qíqíhāěr (Tsitsihar) is the second largest city in Hēilóngjiāng Province. It was situated on the western section of the Chinese Eastern Railway between Manzhouli and Harbin. In 1900 during the time of the Yihetuan Movement, Qiqihar was seized by Russia.

The wooden church built in Qiqihar was similiar in railway church-school architecture as in Hailar and Manzhouli.

A stone church dedicated to the Apostles SS Peter & Paul was also built later in front Ang'angxi station.
