January volume of Prologue with Menologion to be published later this year

The Chinese Orthodox Translation Project and the Orthodox Brotherhood of the Holy Apostles Peter and Paul in Hong Kong will coordinate together the publication in Simplified Chinese of 12 monthly volumes of the Prologue with Menologion. Initial publication will begin with the January readings with selected lives of saints, troparia and kontakia hymns, icons and other prayers and spiritual material drawn from the Prologue and Menologion. It will be conformed to the lexical standard as published recently in the modern Chinese Orthodox Calendar by the Brotherhood (see http://orthodox.cn/calendar/2006).

Donations are now being accepted to prepare for the January volume with a minimal press run of 1000 copies. When available, the publication will be distributed with a free-will donation of any amount to support ongoing publication of forthcoming volumes. All donations will be acknowledged and are eligible to be matched by a possible grant renewal with the Order of St Ignatius in the Fall.
