Any daily readings where it is marked "English with preliminary Chinese machine translation of Lives of Saints" near the top are actually Chinese machine translation and is there to assist accelerating translation effort.

OFASC has previously decided to move away from the contemporary Orthodox transliteration that was first introduced by SS Peter & Paul parish in its earlier church calendar listing of Saints per http://orthodox.cn/calendar/2006/index.html, and instead adopt the CUV Bible transliteration of person/place names which is more familiar where intended audience of such text as lives of Saints are to be accessible for a wider Chinese readership. Global replace of impacted proper names in online daily readings is in progress and scripture references to both CUV and Studium Chinese Catholic Bible and note LXX references where differs from those two per http://orthodox.cn/prologue/terms/biblecn.htm

If you are interested in helping to translate or proofread the Prologue, please send an email to infochina@orthodox.cn. Include your credentials and sample translation for review by the OFASC Commission on Translation.
