On August 28th, the patronal feast of the Most Holy
Theotokos, the Orthodox  community in Beijing
glorified the Mother of God in prayer and divine
services on the territory of the Embassy of Russia.
Following the Divine Liturgy, there was a service of
prayer (moleben) with the blessing of water and a
procession to the walls of Holy Dormition temple;
restoration work is to begin in the next few months.
On August 29th priest Dionisy Pozdnyaev of DECR/MP
congratulated Russia's newly appointed
Plenipotentiary Ambassador to the Chinese People's
Republic, S.S. Razov, on presenting his credentials
on the same day; he wished him blessed success in
his work and discussed a wide variety of issues
concerning the restoration of Holy Dormition temple
and church-state interaction in matters pertaining
to the pastoral care for Orthodox compatriots and
the fellow citizens living on the territory of the
People's Republic of China.
 Only expatriots only are allowed in the Russian Embassy.
