He was born on November 8, 1887 in Laishevo, Kazan Governorate.
He studied at the Kazan Theological Academy (1907-1910). He served as a psalmist in Laishevo. In 1915 he was called up for military service and was in the active army until 1917.
He continued to serve as a psalmist in Laishevo, and then in the Vladivostok diocese. The Priest (1922). In exile in China. He served in Harbin. Law teacher and then dean of Harbin churches.
From 1937 he was rector of the Orthodox Church in Tianjin, and later rector of the cathedral in Shanghai. He participated in the work of the Russian Ecclesiastical Mission. Deputy Chairman of the Mission's Council. Chairman of the Shanghai Diocesan Council. Protopresbyter.
After the end of the Second World War, he came under the omophorion of the Moscow Patriarchate. In 1955 he returned to his homeland. He was assigned to the Krasnodar diocese.
Rector of the Holy Trinity Church in Krasnodar and a member of the diocesan council. He died on August 8, 1959 in Krasnodar after a serious illness.
