According to A.V. Popov, Fr Valentin was born on July 17, 1906 (July 18, 1905 according to his gravestone) and reposed on August 30, 1962 and buried in Harbin. Fr Valentin served at St Nicholas Cathedral in Harbin until 1956.
According to Harbin municipal religious archive, Fr Valentin served as the sixth rector of St Nicholas Cathedral and the seventh rector of the Holy Iveron Church in Harbin.
