59. Brother and sister are frequently used for a relative or companion.
Genesis 14:14
And when Abram heard that his brother was taken captive, he armed his trained servants, born in his own house, three hundred and eighteen, and pursued them unto Dan.

60. The word "God" is used of any one (professedly) mighty, whether truly so or not, and is applied not only to the true God, but to false gods, magistrates, judges, angels, prophets, etc.
Exodus 7:1; 15:11; 32:8,23,31
And the Lord said unto Moses, See, I have made thee a god to Pharaoh: and Aaron thy brother shall be thy prophet....Who is like unto thee, O Lord, among the gods? who is like thee, glorious in holiness, fearful in praises, doing wonders?....They have turned aside quickly out of the way which I commanded them: they have made them a molten calf, and have worshipped it, and have sacrificed thereunto, and said, These be thy gods, O Israel, which have brought thee up out of the land of Egypt...For they said unto me, Make us gods, which shall go before us: for as for this Moses, the man that brought us up out of the land of Egypt, we wot not what is become of him...And Moses returned unto the Lord, and said, Oh, this people have sinned a great sin, and have made them gods of gold.

Deuteronomy 10:17
For the Lord your God is God of gods, and Lord of lords, a great God, a mighty, and a terrible, which regardeth not persons, nor taketh reward.

Judges 8:33; 16:23

61. "Spirit" is used of God Himself, or the Divine Mind, His energy, influence, gifts; of the vital principle of animals, and of breath, wind, or air in motion.
Genesis 1:2; 6:3; 8:1, etc.
And the earth was without form, and void; and darkness was upon the face of the deep. And the spirit of God moved upon the face of the waters....And the Lord said, My spirit shall not always strive with man, for that he also is flesh: yet his days shall be an hundred and twenty years....And God remembered Noah, and every living thing, and all the cattle that was with him in the ark: and God made a wind [spirit] to pass over the earth, and the waters assuaged.

62. "Angel" is used of a messenger (good or bad) from heaven or from men (that is, the word "angel" in the original may be translated "messenger"), and is applied to spiritual intelligences, to the pillar of cloud and fire, to the (pestilential) winds, to priests, prophets, ministers, disembodied spirits, etc.
Genesis 16:7; 32:1,3,6
And the angel of the Lord found her by a fountain of water in the wilderness, by the fountain in the way to Shur....And Jacob went on his way, and the angels of God met him...And Jacob sent messengers [angels] before him to Esau his brother unto the land of Seir, the country of Edom...And the messengers [angels] returned to Jacob, saying, We came to thy brother Esau, and also he cometh to meet thee, and four hundred men with him.

Exodus 14:19
And the angel of God, which went before the camp of Israel, removed and went behind them; and the pillar of the cloud went from before their face, and stood behind them.

And the angel of the Lord said unto him, Why askest thou thus after my name, seeing it is secret?....For it came to pass, when the flame went up toward heaven from off the altar, that the angel of the Lord ascended in the flame of the altar. Psalm 104:4
Who maketh his angels spirits; his ministers a flaming fire.

Ecclesiastes 5:6
Suffer not thy mouth to cause thy flesh to sin; neither say thou before the angel, that it was an error: wherefore should God be angry at thy voice, and destroy the work of thine hands?

Haggai 1:13

63. Prophet is used of one who (professedly) announces the will or celebrates the works of God, whether these relate to things past, present, or future, and is applied to patriarchs, orators, singers, songstresses, priests, and preachers.
Genesis 20:7
Now therefore restore the man his wife; for he is a prophet, and he shall pray for thee, and thou shalt live: and if thou restore her not, know thou that thou shalt surely die, thou, and all that are thine.

Exodus 7:1; 15:20
And the Lord said unto Moses, See, I have made thee a god to Pharaoh: and Aaron thy brother shall be thy prophet....And Miriam the prophetess, the sister of Aaron, took a timbrel in her hand; and all the women went out after her with timbrels and with dances.

Numbers 11:29
And Moses said unto him, Enviest thou for my sake? would God that all the Lord's people were prophets, and that the Lord would put his spirit upon them!

1 Samuel 10:5
After that thou shalt come to the hill of God, where is the garrison of the Philistines: and it shall come to pass, when thou art come thither to the city, that thou shalt meet a company of prophets coming down from the high place with a psaltery, and a tabret, and a pipe, and a harp, before them; and they shall prophesy.

64. Active verbs are used with various connotations.
(a) Active verbs frequently express only an attempt to do the action.

Matthew 10:39; 17:11
He that findeth his life shall lose it: and he that loseth his life for my sake shall find it....And Jesus answered and said unto them, Elias truly shall first come, and restore all things.

John 1:9,29; 12:32
That was the true Light, which lighteth every man that cometh into the world...The next day John seeth Jesus coming unto him, and saith, Behold the Lamb of God, which taketh away the sin of the world....And I, if I be lifted up from the earth, will draw all men unto me.

Romans 2:4
Or despisest thou the riches of his goodness and forbearance and longsuffering; not knowing that the goodness of God leadeth thee to repentance?

(b) Active verbs frequently express a permission to do the action.
Exodus 4:21
And the Lord said unto Moses, When thou goest to return into Egypt, see that thou do all those wonders before Pharaoh, which I have put in thine hand: but I will harden his heart, that he shall not let the people go.

2 Samuel 24:1
