His Eminence, The Most Rev. Metropolitan HILARION of Eastern America & New York
The Venerable Members of the Synod of Bishops
Reverend Clergy and Laity of the Russian Orthodox Church Abroad

On behalf of the Orthodox Fellowship of All Saints of China, please accept our congratulations on the election of his Eminence Metropolitan Hilarion as First Hierarch.

Vladika Hilarion has shown forth as a zealous archpastor to the flock entrusted to his care in the Archdiocese of Sydney, Australia and New Zealand. His missionary and cultural sensitivity to those who immigrated from China was evident with Vladika bringing over of the elderly priest Michael Li from Shanghai to serve the local Chinese flock in Australia, as there was no opportunity to serve in Shanghai since the closing of the churches there. Furthermore, Vladika has been instrumental in providing grass root support as an advisor to the pan-Orthodox ministry of our Fellowship during its formative years beginning at the end of 2006. His expression of brotherly cooperation among the diverse jurisdictions in the Fellowship was a prophetic voice to the eventual restoration of the canonical communion of the Russian Church Abroad and the Moscow Patriarchate.

OFASC offers continued prayers and support for Vladika Hilarion as he embarks in leading the Church in sharing the Holy Orthodox Faith of Our Lord Jesus Christ with people around the world.

With the exclamation Axios! Axios! Axios! in Our Lord Jesus Christ,

Nelson Mitrophan Chin
under Most Rev. Metropolitan PHILIP, of the Antiochian Orthodox Christian Archdiocese of North America
