OFASC awarded a gift of $200

With pastoral blessing of the archpriest Fr Antony Hughes, the Parish Council of St Mary Antiochian Orthodox Church at their Council Meeting on Tuesday, November 14, 2006 in Cambridge MA, has awarded a gift of $200 to the Orthodox Fellowship of All Saints of China in response to the $3,000 contingent grant by The Order of St. Ignatius of Antioch. The donation will help defray a portion of the development cost in launching the new pan-Orthodox non-profit organization, which successfully filed on November 8th as a non-profit religious corporation with the Commonwealth of Massachusetts, and is currently in the process of filing for 501(c)(3) tax-exemption status.

OFASC will oversee the pan-Orthodox effort of the Chinese Translation Project (see http://prologue.orthodox.cn) that has been sustained in the past couple of years through the generosity of many supporters around the globe and locally, including the parish council of St Mary with its initial $300 gift in 2004 and the continued collective effort of the parish family in participating in the annual Chinese New Year breakfast to benefit the Project.

You too can help with the initial development cost of OFASC with your tax-deductible donations made payable to "Chinese Translation Project/St Mary's Church" and mail to:
