The Primate of the Russian Church Abroad Sends a Greeting to the Clergy and Parishioners of the Newly-Consecrated Dormition Church in Beijing

To the Rector and Parishioners of Dormition Church in Beijing

Dear Reverend Fathers, Dear in the Lord Brothers and Sisters, peace and God's blessings to you!

On this holy day of the consecration of your church, I send my heartfelt congratulations to you for this merciful and grace-filled event!

Today's consecration attests to the fact that the difficult labors of many Orthodox believers in China in the 20th century are now bringing forth the fruit of the rebirth of church life in this country, and, as a podvig of love for God and neighbor, is the legacy for those who continue this work. It is also a thing of wonder and of pious veneration. May the Lord, from their prayers, help you carry on this divine labor to His glory and for the good of the Orthodox Christians of Beijing!

With love in the Lord,
+ Hilarion,
Metropolitan of Eastern America and New York,
First Hierarch of the Russian Orthodox Church Outside of Russia.
