Burial site of members of the
Imperial Romanov family found in Beijing
English Translation by Nina Tkachuk Dimas

Beijing. In Beijing it has been possible to determine the burial site of members of the Romanov Imperial family and their aides, killed in the Ural Mountain city of Alapayevsk during Russia's civil war . Their remains came to China with parts of the retreating White Army. It was determined that, on orders from Moscow, their remains, which had been in the Russian Spiritual Mission (now the site of the embassy of the Russian Federation), were buried in the Orthodox cemetery near the city's Andingmen Gate. After 1988, when the cemetery was finally liquidated, its territory became a park, and the section where the martyrs were buried became a golf course.
