St Alexandra Church at Boketu Train Station

Bókètú is situated in Yakeshi, Hulunbuir, Inner Mongolia, on the western section of the Chinese Eastern Railway between Mǎnzhōulǐ and Qíqíhāěr, with a small train station.

On December 11, 1902, a wooden cruciform church with a capacity of up to 1000 people was consecrated in the name of St. Alexandra, Tsaritsa and Passion-Bearer. Five silver bells for the church, a large silver gospel weighing about a pound with a dedicatory inscription, two bowls of gold and silver were given to the parish by the Empress Alexandra Feodorovna.

According to Harbin Diocese - Parishes in China for 1929, the church was built in 1902 and the rector was Archpriest Vladimir CHERTYKOVTSEV.

According to Fr. V. Gerasimov, in "Review of the Dioceses of Harbin on October 1, 1939", Heavenly Bread, Harbin, 1939, No. 10, pg. 94, the rector was Fr. G. Kozlov, and the churchwarden was GI Sannikov.
