Church of St John the Forerunner in the Moscow Barracks

The church was located in the Moscow Barracks, in today’s “Civilian Film” of Daoli District, which is the area around Daminxing Street, Anhong Street, and Min’an Street, Harbin, Heilongjiang, China.

According to Harbin Diocese - Parishes in China for 1929, the temple in honor of St John the Prophet, Forerunner and Baptist of the Lord, was built in 1927. The rector of the church was Archpriest Konstantin Konstantinovich LYUSTRITSKY.

According to Fr. V. Gerasimov, in "Review of the Dioceses of Harbin on October 1, 1939", Heavenly Bread, Harbin, 1939, No. 10, pg. 87, the temple built in 1923 by the guardian builder, Archpriest K. Lyustritsky. The rector was Archpriest K. Lyustritsky, and the churchwarden was A.A. Kharlov.
