Your Eminence,
Right Eminence,
Archbishop Victor

Your Eminence,

I received your telegram, letter and postcard, and am very sorry for the late reply. Upon receipt, your telegram and letter was immediately submitted to the Bureau of Religious Affairs of city of Beijing with my application for foreign visa. The above named Bureau suggested that I wait for a response.

As soon as I get the visa, I will report to you immediately.

I already sent a letter of gratitude to the Holy Patriarch, and I am also extending to you my gratitude for your full attention and ardent love for me.

We continue during services to commemorate you , but Harbin and Tianjin are asking us now who to commemorate, I did not give them a definitive answer, but suggested to have them refer this issue to the Holy Patriarch of Moscow, because of the present situation and prior to clarification the diocese of Beijing moved and is only one of the dioceses. I am asking you on this issue, if possible, to be kind enough to give me guidance.

We all live in the old way: in the life of the Church there is no change and displacement. There is hope that we will soon be moving to live in Simiao, and the flock then will also move to live in newly constructed premises in the Hebingli area.

The dairy farm is managed by public administration. There are rumors that the same will soon move to Nan Yuan (about 40 li from the southern city gate).

There is still no construction in the area of the old mission yet, there is talk that it will start soon.

I think often about you, and I am often prompted to pray for you, that God would prolong your life with many more years for the glorious work of prosperity of the Orthodox Church.

Please convey my regards and respect to Mikhail Aleksandrovich, Father Serafim and all inhabitants of Beiguan.

Your Eminence's servant, I remain with unwavering filial love in Christ.

Administrator of the Beijing Diocese
Chinese Orthodox Church
Archimandrite Vasily
