At the invitation of His Eminence Metropolitan Ignatius of Khabarovsk and Amur, the participation in Cyril-and-Methodius Readings, opened in Khabarovsk last week, were attended by representatives from the PRC. The rector of Hong Kong parish of St. Peter and Paul Rev. Dionisy Pozdnyaev made a presentation on "The Chinese Orthodox Church - Russian perspective", and Professor Zhang Baichun from Beijing Normal University gave a lecture on the study of Orthodoxy in China. Among academics in Hong Kong in recent years is a growing interest in the study of Orthodoxy, in mainland China there are books published about various aspects of the history of the Church, its theology, cultural traditions and spiritual life.
