April 18-26, 2006—Priest Igor Vyzhanov, Secretary for inter-Christian Relations of the MP Department of External Affairs, was in the Vietnamese city of Vũng Tàu to carry out the services of Passion Week and Pascha.
Father Igor came to Vietnam at the invitation of the management and associates of "VietSovPetro", the Russo-Vietnamese oil-producing enterprise. The Divine Services took place in the cultural center of the micro-district where the enterprises' Russian associates reside.
During his stay in Vietnam, the Russian Orthodox Church's representative also served a Paschal Moleben for associates of the Consulate General of the Russian Federation in Hồ Chí Minh City and visited the grave of the seamen of the Russian cruiser "Diana" who died in Saigon in 1905.
