The Paschal Service at night of Sunday 23.04.2006 in the Embassy
The Orthodox communities of Beijing, Hong Kong, Shanghai, Shenzhen and Guangzhou had celebrated the Feast of Pascha (Easter) with Divine Services performed in the abovementioned cities. More than 200 people were present on prayer during the night Liturgy in the Russian Embassy in Beijing, around 80 persons in Shanghai and approximately 40 people in the each of the cities in question. Many came to the Services from afar , from Harbin, from Liaoning, Taipei, Jinan. Amongst the faithful gathered in prayer were not only our compatriots present but also citizens of Ukraine, Belarus, Moldova, Bulgaria, Georgia, USA, France, Serbia, Greece and other countries. In Shanghai those who came for prayer were greeted for the Feast of Pascha by the Consul General of Russia A. A. Sharonov.
