The role of the spiritual factor in the development of Russian-Chinese relations was one of the main topics at a meeting of Metropolitan Kirill of Smolensk and Kaliningrad with Leonid Drachevsky, head of the Russian part of the Russian-Chinese Committee on Friendship, Peace and Development and with Oleg Deripaskoy, chairman of the subcommittee on humanitarian affairs -- reports interfax.
The meeting took place yesterday in Moscow. General questions of mutual relations between the peoples of Russia and China were discussed in the course of the meeting. Also participating in the meeting were Archpriest Nikolai Balashov, DECR secretary for inter-Orthodox relations, and D.I. Petrovsky of DECR.
