Solemn divine services took place on on July 12, the parish feast of Hong Kong's Russian Church of the Apostles Peter and Paul.
SS Peter and Paul Russian Orthodox Church in Hong Kong was opened in 1933 - until 1970 it was served by Archpriest Dmitry Uspensky, dean of the Hong Kong Deanery of the Russian Orthodox Church. With the departure of parishioners from Hong Kong in the 1970s, parish's activities were suspended and resumed in 2003. Currently Hong Kong unites believers from Hong Kong, Russia, Ukraine, United States, France, Australia and other countries. Divine services in the temple are in English, Slavic and Chinese. For many Orthodox Chinese citizens, this parish is the country's only temple where they can take part in divine services.
As reported by the website of the Association of Russian Culture, "Resurrection", the parish feast was attended by Orthodox believers from Hong Kong from mainland China - from Beijing, Guangzhou, and Shenzhen.
