KYIV. The Session of the Holy Synod of the Ukrainian Orthodox Church was held

On Friday, April 18, the session of the Holy Synod was held at the Synod Hall of the Kyiv Metropolis, presided over by His Beatitude, the Most Blessed Volodymyr, Metropolitan of Kyiv and All Ukraine.

Participating in the session of the Holy Synod were: Metropolitan of Luhansk and Alchevsk Ioannikiy, Metropolitan of Chernivtsi and Bukovyna Onuphriy, Metropolitan of Khmelnytskyi and Starokostytantynivsk Anthony, Archbishop of Khust and Vynohgradiv Mark, Archbishop of Mykolayiv and Voznesensk Pytyrym, Archbishop of Bila Tserkva and Boguslav Mytrofan - Executive Administrator of the UOC, and Bishop of Horlivka and Slovyansk Mytrofan.

The Holy Synod granted hearing to the reports of Chairman of the Synodal Commission on canonization of Saints of the UOC His Eminence Ephraim, Archbishop of Kryvyi Rih and Nikopol and approved the following:

• blessed the glorification of Archbishop of Tavriysk Guriy (Karpov) (+17. 03. 1882) among the ranks of locally venerated saints of the diocese of Simferopol;
